As you know, the Career Academy of Business Administration and Management is a career/college preparatory program which provides students with the opportunity to learn practical business skills and earn industry certifications.  The purpose of CABAM is to offer a sequence of courses that provides coherent and rigorous content aligned with challenging academic standards and relevant technical knowledge and skills needed to prepare for further education and careers in the Business, Management, and Administration career cluster.

 

You are enrolled in a course that is a part of the CABAM program and have been invited to participate in an educational enrichment trip to Walt Disney World's EPCOT in Orlando, Florida, on Thursday, March 25, 2027. The trip will include a Disney workshop, where students will discover the value of communication, training and empowerment in creating an environment conducive to performance excellence. Following the workshop, students will have free time to enjoy Epcot.

 

This trip is only for our graduating CABAM seniors in good standing academically and behaviorally.

 

Transportation will be provided via commercial carrier, leaving PHUHS around 6:30 a.m., and returning to PHUHS around 11:30 p.m. School-appropriate dress will be required, meals and other expenses are not included. 

 

The actual cost per student for this trip is approximately $250.00, but we are fortunate that we receive departmental funding through industry certifications earned by our students that will allow us to offset the cost, so the per-student responsibility for this excellent opportunity is only $TBA; due with the necessary permission paperwork no later than TBA. Disney Imagination Campus

Disney Imagination Campus Teamwork the Disney Way

 

In the Disney Imagination Campus’ leadership development program, students will get a unique opportunity to realize their potential by interacting with Disney leaders, engaging in leadership activities and experiencing fun, hands-on learning. The leadership workshops we offer are an extraordinary way for students to learn effective communication, critical thinking and the art of innovation. In them, they will explore the Disney Way, which includes the belief that everyone can be a leader. Plus, they’ll learn about the importance of Disney’s 5 Keys of Excellence—principles that guide Disney Cast Members in everything they do. Students will experience the real-world application of these principles by encountering problem-solving scenarios—and will discover their own personal leadership style.

Workshop Overview

After completing this workshop, participants will be able to:

  • Know their own leadership style and continue to develop their personal leadership skills
  • Describe and analyze the relationship between employee excellence, customer satisfaction and business results
  • Engage with various partners to problem-solve through collaboration
  • Discuss the importance of diversity when assembling a team
  • Understand the value of a positive attitude when faced with any challenge
  • Describe Disney’s 5 Keys of Excellence and how these impact a large organization’s ability to quickly solve problem

Educational Standards: Our Academic Workshops meet many National Common Core and California State Standards and will assist teachers in reinforcing classroom learning to help prepare students for college and careers, through real-world experiences.
