Principal Teresa Patterson

Teresa L. Patterson has proudly served as Principal of Palm Harbor University High School (PHUHS) since February 2021. A graduate of Pinellas County Schools and member of the Largo High School Class of 1990, Mrs. Patterson brings a unique blend of academic, athletic, and leadership experience to her role.

She earned her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Marketing from Mercer University in Macon, Georgia, where she competed as an NCAA Division I athlete. Before entering educational leadership, Mrs. Patterson spent more than a decade as an NCAA Division I soccer coach, later transitioning to secondary education. Her career spans Orange, Hillsborough, and Pinellas counties, where she has served as a teacher, coach, and administrator. At Steinbrenner High School, she was honored as Girls’ Soccer State Coach of the Year and Social Studies Teacher of the Year. Prior to joining PHUHS, she served as Assistant Principal at Seminole High School.

Under Mrs. Patterson’s leadership, PHUHS has achieved remarkable distinctions and national recognition, including:

  • PHUHS Class of 2025 was named a PLATINUM member of the College Board AP Honor Roll! PHUHS had 85% of seniors who took at least one AP Exam during high school, 57% of seniors scoring a three or higher on at least one AP Exam, and 27% of seniors who took five or more AP Exams
  • Magnet Schools of America School of Distinction
  • Project Lead the Way Distinguished School, honoring the success of the Biomedical Science Program
  • Center for Wellness and Medical Professions and Career Academy of Business Administration, both designated as Academies of Distinction with Distinguished Honors by The Stavros Career and Management Education Board
  • Nationally recognized Robotics Program
  • Thespian Troupe, among the highest honored programs in Dramatic and Musical Theater by the State, Broadway Stars of the Future, and Walker’s Rising Stars
  • Consistent national qualifiers in Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA), Health Occupation Students Association (HOSA), and Speech and Debate

Since 2021, PHUHS students have excelled nationally, with 48 students earning National Merit recognition as semifinalists, and 45 advancing to finalist status. These accomplishments reflect the school’s commitment to academic excellence, innovation, and the arts.

At PHUHS, the history is rooted in passion, growing with purpose, and thriving through perseverance—a vision Mrs. Patterson continues to champion every day.

Assistant Principal Evette Striblen

Evette Striblen serves as Assistant Principal and International Baccalaureate (IB) Programme Coordinator at Palm Harbor University High School (PHUHS). She coordinates the IB Programme, English Language Arts and Reading Departments, and supports both IB students and the M–Z cohort of the University freshman class. At the heart of her work is a deep belief that literacy opens doors; empowering students to think critically, communicate with confidence, and contribute meaningfully to their communities as global citizens.

Mrs. Striblen began her career as an English teacher in San Diego, California, where she spent 15 years cultivating a love of reading, writing, and inquiry in her students. After moving to Florida in 2014 with her family, she supported K-12 schools at the district level through curriculum development and professional learning focused on strengthening literacy outcomes. She later served as Assistant Principal and IB Coordinator at Land O’ Lakes High School before joining PHUHS in 2021.

She is passionate about building collaborative, inclusive learning environments where diverse perspectives are honored, and students feel both challenged and supported. As the proud parent of two Pinellas County Schools graduates, she understands firsthand the impact that dedicated educators and strong school communities have on students’ lives. That perspective continues to guide her commitment to academic excellence, student voice, and service-driven leadership.

Assistant Principal Diamante Sadlowski

Center for Wellness and Medical Professions

Diamante (Arredondo) Sadlowski currently serves as Assistant Principal and Magnet Coordinator for the Center for Wellness and Medical Professions (CWMP) and oversees 9th grade students last name A-L at Palm Harbor University High School (PHUHS).

A graduate of Lake Wales High School in Polk County, she earned a Bachelor of Applied Science in Technology and Engineering Education from St. Petersburg College, and a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from the American College of Education. She also holds the Director of Career and Technical Education certification; distinctions that underscore her expertise in CTE program leadership, curriculum development, and industry alignment.

Mrs. Sadlowski began her educational career as a Technology and Engineering educator, teaching manufacturing, engineering, and robotics at Palm Harbor Middle School. She also served as the Pinellas County Schools Robotics Tournament Coordinator for FIRST LEGO League, leading regional events that expanded access to engineering and robotics experiences for students districtwide. 

Her leadership extended to the district level as an Industrial Arts Resource Teacher, where she supported new and veteran teachers, strengthened instructional practices, and helped educators increase student pass rates on industry certification exams; an essential measure of CTE program quality and workforce preparedness.

Mrs. Sadlowski remains devoted to expanding opportunity, strengthening community partnerships, and championing innovative learning experiences that prepare students for success in a rapidly evolving world. Her leadership is guided by the belief that strong schools are built through intentional structures, meaningful relationships, and a shared commitment to excellence.

Assistant Principal Sharon Berry

Sharon Berry is an Assistant Principal of Curriculum who has served in school leadership since 2011. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and a Master’s degree in Instructional Systems Design.

Ms. Berry has over 30 years of experience in Pinellas County Schools, all at the high school level. Prior to entering administration, she served as a mathematics and computer science/technology teacher, where she developed a strong foundation in instructional planning, curriculum alignment, and the effective use of data to support student achievement.

Throughout her career, Ms. Berry has demonstrated a commitment to instructional leadership, staff support, and fostering a safe and productive learning environment. In addition to her academic roles, she coached high school volleyball and soccer for 15 years, further contributing to student development through leadership, teamwork, and accountability.

Josh Beam serves as the Assistant Principal overseeing Athletics, Facilities, and Safety. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in History and a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership. Mr. Beam has dedicated more than 12 years to education within Pinellas County Schools, demonstrating a long-standing commitment to student success and school excellence.

Prior to entering administration, Mr. Beam taught history, where he developed a deep appreciation for the impact educators have on students’ lives. Coming from a family of educators and coaches, he understands the vital role education plays in shaping both academic and personal growth. He also coached basketball and soccer, experiences that continue to influence his belief in the value of teamwork, leadership, accountability, and perseverance.

Mr. Beam strongly encourages all students to participate in athletics at any level, recognizing sports as an important extension of the classroom. He is proud to be a Hurricane and to serve a school community dedicated to pursuing excellence both academically and athletically.
